Valkyrie Financial Services has apparently filed a 497 to convert its Bitcoin Strategy exchange-traded fund on October 3, 2023, into a Bitcoin and Ether Strategy ETF.
Valkyrie’s Bitcoin Strategy ETF is currently an actively managed exchange-traded fund offered through Nasdaq. Its main focus is on bitcoin futures contracts.
According to Bloomberg Senior ETF Analyst Eric Balchunas on X (previously Twitter), Valkyrie’s projected debut date of Oct. 3 “would be two weeks ahead of the other 13 filers’ scheduled launch.”
Earlier on Friday, The Block reported that ProShares and Bitwise have submitted applications with the Securities and Exchange Commission for exchange-traded funds that give exposure to both bitcoin and ether, adding to the 10 ether futures ETF filings that existed at the time.
