The CEO of Coinbase plans to donate 2% of his stake to scientific research next year

Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase Global Inc., announced on Twitter late Friday that he intends to sell approximately 2% of his stake in the company over the next year to finance scientific research.

To clarify doubts, Armstrong further reaffirmed his position as the current CEO of Coinbase in another tweet.

The company’s 2022 proxy statement indicates that Armstrong owns 16% of Coinbase and controls 59.5% of its voting shares.
