Shibarium, the eagerly awaited layer-2 scaling solution, released its beta version on Saturday, according to Shiba Inu developer Shytoshi Kusama.
Early beta testers can now access the testnet, which uses Puppynet tokens that are not investments in any manner, according to a blog post by Kusama.
“All tokens on Puppynet are NOT REAL. Don’t spend you’re hard earned SHIBS on these tokens if you see them no matter how hard people, anyone, shills,” Kusama wrote in a post that also included a link to a test of the Ethereum scaling protocol.
“For the TLDR people, this is an open early beta test so go ahead, you can access it now here! Shibarium official RPC website is available here,” he stated.
Kusama made a suggestion regarding the layer-2 project Shibarium’s development last week. ShibaSwap is the sole authorized decentralized exchange (DEX) for the SHIB and Shibarium ecosystem, he stated in his Twitter bio.
ShibaSwap aims to offer traders a secure environment where they can exchange their crypto assets in a decentralized setting.
Shibarium, on the other hand, is a layer-2 blockchain built on Ethereum that is comparable to Polygon. It is made to enable developers to make quick, affordable, and enormously scalable apps. In May 2021, the initiative was first disclosed.
In other developments, blockchain-tracking service Etherscan revealed that a crypto whale transferred 258,837,671,569 SHIB worth over $2.64 million to Shiba Inu’s smart contract. According to reports, the crypto whale still owns 4,925,361,871,313 Shiba Inus valued more than $50.23 million.
SHIB was selling at $0.00001032 at the time of writing, down 8% over the previous week.
