Kirill Kalashnikov (pictured) has been appointed by Robocash Group as the organization’s regional director for Asia-Pacific (APAC).

Prior to this, Kalashnikov oversaw operations in the Philippines for Robocash.

His hiring coincides with the company’s efforts to increase lending activities in Asian countries, particularly the Philippines.

According to Robocash Group, the Philippine fintech business will be valued $44 billion (£36.4 billion) by 2024.

In his new position, Kalashnikov will advocate for AI-driven alternative lending in the Philippines and market these services as a successful way to reduce income disparity.

As the Philippines business’s country manager for Digido, Robocash Group hired Kalashnikov in 2021.

After Kalashnikov was elevated, Farit Shakirov, the operations manager at Digido, took over as the nation’s manager.
