Paul Ryan, a former Republican House Speaker, has predicted that former President Donald Trump will not be the Republican Party’s nominee for the White House in the election that takes place in 2024.

According to comments made by Ryan in an interview with the consulting firm Teneo that was broadcast on Thursday, “Trump’s unelectability will be palpable by then.” Within the company, Ryan serves in the role of vice chairman.

The former lawmaker from Wisconsin said, “We all know that he’s much more likely to lose the White House than anybody else running for president on our side of the aisle, so why would we want to go with that?” “We all know that he’s much more likely to lose the White House than anybody else running for president on our side of the aisle.”

“I don’t really know if it matters whether he runs or not,” added Ryan. “Whether he runs or not, it could go either way.” “I don’t see how he could possibly be the nominee,” you might say.

After serving as the vice presidential running mate of now-Senator Mitt Romney of Utah in 2012 and succeeding John Boehner as speaker of the House in 2015, Paul Ryan has been employed in the private sector ever since he left his position in Congress in 2018.

Prior to and following Ryan’s single term in the White House, he had a tumultuous relationship with President Trump.

Trump launched a barrage of insults at Ryan while he was running for president in 2016, characterizing him as feeble and unloyal. Following the release of a recording from Access Hollywood in 2005 in which Trump is heard bragging about groping women, Ryan had refused to continue campaigning for Trump late in the election. This decision was made in response to the recording.

Since he stepped down as Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan has been a vocal advocate for the Republican Party to break away from Donald Trump, who continues to serve as the party’s de facto leader and is the most likely contender to win the Republican nomination for president in 2024.

Trump has not yet made an official announcement about whether or not he will run for president again, but he has made it clear that he is open to the idea of doing so. Even though Trump was defeated by Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 election, he has refused to concede the race and persists in making false claims that the election was rigged against him.

On January 6, 2021, when a joint session of Congress had convened to confirm Biden’s victory, thousands of Trump’s supporters descended upon the Capitol building in response to the president’s claims of a conspiracy both before and after the election. According to a recently published book, Ryan expressed that he “found himself sobbing” as he watched the riot unfold in the Capitol.

Ryan stated that the only reason Trump is still in power is because “everybody’s afraid of him” in an interview he gave to Teneo.

Ryan stated, “He is going to try his best to intimidate people out of the race for as long as he can.”

According to Ryan’s forecast, other potential Republican presidential candidates will be discouraged by Trump and wait for “somebody else to take the first plunge” before deciding whether or not to enter the race. Ryan referred to the predicament as a “prisoner’s dilemma” and said that after Trump attacked the first person, the other people could “follow in behind.”

However, he believes that this will not prevent potential candidates from putting their names into consideration for the position.

You can count on the fact that ambition is the one resource that will never run out in politics. “There are a few people who are going to run because it’s really the only cycle they can run, and they can’t wait until 2028,” Ryan said. “There are a handful of people who are going to run because it’s really the only cycle they can run.”

“They’ve got to go now if they’re ever going to go, and they don’t want to die not ever trying,” he added. “If they’re ever going to go, they don’t want to die not ever trying.”

“As soon as you get something resembling the mentality of a herd going, it’s impossible to stop. According to Ryan, “I think the fact that he pulls so much poorer than anybody else running for president as a Republican against a Democrat is enough right there.” “I think the fact that he pulls so much poorer than anybody else running for president as a “He’s going to be aware of this, and as a result, whether he runs for office or not, I don’t really know if it makes a difference, as I don’t think he’s going to be the nominee.”
