Kanye West, the musician who now goes by the name Ye, tweeted for the first time in more than two weeks.

On Sunday, he tweeted to ensure that his account was operational.

You then replied with the Hebrew greeting “Shalom”

The tweets mark the return of another contentious personality to Twitter following Elon Musk’s purchase of the firm. The billionaire executive announced on Saturday that he will restore former President Donald Trump’s account.

Unlike Trump, Ye was never completely banned from Twitter. Instead, the firm froze his account on October 10 for an indeterminate period of time after the rapper tweeted antisemitic statements that evolved into threats and vile insults about Jewish people.

After Oct. 9, Ye did not tweet again until Nov. 3. It is unknown when his Twitter account was unlocked.

Musk stated in late October that he was not responsible for the restoration of Ye’s account.

Ye decided to purchase the conservative social media platform Parler last month in reaction to his Twitter suspension.

The rapper’s antisemitic outbursts have caused big business partners to terminate ties with him.

Adidas canceled its connection with Ye last month, and Gap and Foot Locker announced they will remove Yeezy goods from their shelves.
