IHH Healthcare, an SGX-listed company, reported Q2 net income of $3.8 million (RM12.1 million), which is a 27% year-over-year increase.

The company said in a bourse filing that the use of MFRS 129 helped it gain $91.8 million (RM295.5 million), which in turn increased net income in Q2.

Due to ongoing expansion in its major regions and a resurgence of both domestic and foreign patients, the company’s revenue increased in Q2, up 2% YoY to $1.4 billion (RM4.4 billion).

IHH Healthcare stated that it is confident that its excellent Q2 performance will allow it to weather any short-term difficulties and “achieve long-term sustainable growth for all stakeholders.”
