Decentralized cross-rollup layer-2 bridge Orbiter Finance is the most recent blockchain system that hackers have targeted.
In the early hours of June 1, the blockchain security and analytics company CertiK Alert made the initial Twitter announcement regarding that incident. It pleaded with the community members not to interact with the links that were shared on the platform.
5,000,000 ORB tokens will be given out to members of the Orbiter Finance community as part of the phony ORB token launch and airdrop event, according to the unscrupulous actors’ announcement.
The Orbiter Finance team also acknowledged the attack on Twitter, letting everyone know that they are putting a lot of effort on taking back control of their Discord server.
Along with planning direct security breaches of the DeFi and web3 protocols, hackers are increasingly using these projects’ social media accounts to carry out their malicious deeds and defraud gullible victims.
