According to the most recent news, cryptocurrency exchange FTX US has finally outbid other players to acquire the assets of bankrupt crypto lender Voyager Digital. FTX was competing with crypto exchange Binance, which was leading last week.
According to a statement issued by Voyager Digital on Monday, September 26, the agreement is worth approximately $1.4 billion. This includes the value of all cryptocurrencies currently held by Voyager Digital in the amount of $1.3 billion, as well as $110 million in “additional consideration.”
Customers of Voyager Digital will be able to transfer their assets to the FTX U.S. platform once the bankruptcy process is completed. The troubled cryptocurrency lender stated that the purchase agreement will be presented to the court on October 19th.
