Ryan Wyatt has joined the team behind Optimism, a whole separate Ethereum scaling network.
The former Polygon Labs president was named Chief Growth Officer for Optimism Unlimited, a newly formed company of the Optimism Foundation, on Monday. Wyatt will assemble a team to promote Optimism adoption and development across a wide range of operations, including business development, marketing, collaborations, and beyond.
“They’ve really shown what they can do in the last 12 months, particularly, from both the tech perspective as well as people buying into Optimism and the ethos,” he said. “I just think there’s an opportunity to really ramp up the Optimism Collective’s non-technical efforts.” That’s what I’m excellent at and what I like doing.”
Wyatt worked with Polygon Labs from February 2022 until July of this year, when the firm announced his departure. Following Wyatt’s departure, Marc Boiron, previously Polygon Labs’ Chief Legal Officer, assumed the job of CEO. Wyatt stated at the time that he intended to remain in the cryptocurrency field.
