Bolero International, a leader in cloud-based trade finance digitisation solutions and a subsidiary of WiseTech Global, has announced a cooperation with Taiwan-based CHIMEI Corporation, a producer of speciality chemicals, advanced polymer materials, and synthetic rubbers.

The deal involved a shipment that was made under LC terms from Taiwan’s CHIMEI to Hong Kong’s Kin San Chemical over the course of just two days. Wan Hai Lines contributed the Bolero eBL as part of the electronic document presentation that also included the CTBC Bank in Taiwan and the Bank of China (Hong Kong) in Hong Kong.

The Galileo platform from Bolero accelerated a procedure that had previously taken weeks while parties exchanged physical material across numerous countries by making the interchange of electronic papers more effective and secure.

It only took 3 days to finish the end-to-end flow of secure electronic documents, speeding up a procedure that used to take a week or more.

The Galileo Galileo Multi-Bank for Corporates platform from Bolero offers improved functionality and seamless connection with banks and other third-party systems while giving corporate clients and banks end-to-end insight. The solution enables CHIMEI to handle all of their ePresentations from a single platform.

Bolero is gaining popularity among Taiwanese corporates and banks that are eager to digitalize their manual paper-based procedures due to the rise in demand for trade financing operations.

The largest financial institutions in the world are directly connected to Bolero’s global 24/7 network for paperless trading solutions, enabling quick settlement between parties. Banks and businesses may exchange documents in real time with 100% correctness, a full audit trail, and delivery evidence on the Bolero global network.
