Blockchain.com, a cryptocurrency startup, announced Monday that it has secured a payment licence in Singapore as it seeks to extend its footprint in Asia.
According to a statement made by Blockchain.com, the Monetary Authority of Singapore granted the firm a significant payment institution licence on August 1. According to a blog post, the central bank earlier granted the firm in-principle approval for the licence in October.
The exchange would be able to “provide regulated digital payment token services to its global institutional and accredited investor customers,” according to the business.
