Ahead of the Lunar New Year celebration in Asia, the price of Bitcoin momentarily surpassed $23,000 on Saturday morning, reaching its highest level since August. At the time of writing, it was trading at $22,841 on CoinMarketCap.
Bitcoin has lost nearly 50% of its value since the beginning of 2021. Although quite a distance from the all-time highs of roughly $69,000 recorded in prior years, the price increase mirrored that of the previous weekend.
Since the beginning of the year, the largest cryptocurrency has risen as a little more hopeful macroeconomic picture has developed.
