Gulf Binance, a joint venture between Binance and Gulf Innova, has obtained licenses from Thailand’s Ministry of Finance in order to become an SEC-regulated digital asset operator.
By the fourth quarter of 2023, the partnership intends to launch a digital asset exchange and broker in Thailand.
“Local users can expect to have access to a trusted and regulated service that prioritizes user security alongside compliance with local regulations,” said Binance’s head of Asia, Europe, and MENA, Richard Teng.
In 2022, the two parties first reached an agreement regarding a joint venture.
