Alibaba Cloud, or Aliyun, a subsidiary of the Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, has announced an interface with the Avalanche blockchain to support its Node-as-a-Service activities.

Through its relationship with Alibaba Cloud, Avalanche will build tools that allow customers to launch validator nodes on its public blockchain network throughout Asia. The connection will enable Avalanche developers to create new validators using Alibaba Cloud’s plug-and-play infrastructure as a service.

Alibaba Cloud offers extra processing, storage, and distribution capabilities that may be accessed by developers that anticipate high resource demands during peak hours.

According to the release, Avalanche hosts more than 1,200 validators and handles around 2 million transactions every day. Considering that Alibaba Cloud is the largest Asian cloud service provider in the Asia-Pacific area, the magnitude of the relationship is enormous.

As part of the connection, Alibaba Cloud offered Avalanche developers credit for any of their services. Avalanche powers nearly a thousand projects, including decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystems such as Aave, Curve, BENQi, Sushi, and Chainlink.
