The Swiss luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer will now accept cryptocurrency payments. However, these crypto payments will only be accepted on websites in the United States.

Tag Heuer has become the latest premium brand to embrace cryptocurrency payments. The brand’s e-commerce website will accept all major cryptocurrencies.

Tag Heuer’s new approach is to embrace and implement a Web3 strategy, which incorporates cryptocurrency payments.

Tag Heuer wants to take use of blockchain technology and the growing popularity of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The company also stated that there is no minimum amount that must be paid in order to make a payment using the digital asset.

Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), and numerous stable coins tied to the USD, such as USDP, BUSD, DAI, USDC, and GUSD, will all be accepted.

With BitBay’s help, this latest functionality of taking crypto payments will be made possible. The platform in question is a well-known cryptocurrency exchange.

However, because refunds can be tricky, there could be some issues. BitBay, the payment platform, is designed to take cryptocurrency payments before converting them to fiat cash.

In the event of a refund, BitBay will convert the fiat currency to cryptocurrency at the current market rate and return the cryptocurrency to the consumer. Furthermore, due to market volatility, market rates are held and maintained for 15 minutes until the purchase is processed.
